OK so some stuff. It's been a while! I know no one comes here anyway, but it's fun to pretend.

Wooo! Just finished my first book using the (boring, tedious) beautiful coptic stitch! It took the better part of the evening to get it done. The paper inside is just plain old copy paper, since I already have a ton of it and I'd never done a coptic bind before... It's a good thing too, because this book came out a little messy. Next time I'll try something smaller and with better paper, paper thats fun to sketch on. :)

Charcoal NEWDS

Some things I've been working on in Drawing II class. Charcoal on BFK rives paper.
Also, a picture of my work station! 8D She's messy, but she'll do.

Our final is a self portrait. It's crummy and doesnt really look like me. :< But it'll be something to turn in.

Finally finished a painting for class. Abstraction assignment, oil on canvas, 18x24:

Serious headache from the fumes. Oh, the perils one must face in the name o fart!

(*of art. But "O Fart" is HILARIOUS so it's staying XD)

I didnt realize until looking at the photo how muct the little knob on the bottom of the red ball stands out. It's supposed to be the same color as the background, but I messed up. It's also got another little coin thing danglind from it. Oh well. It's good enough for critique tomorrow.

Wip. I'm taking a painting class this term and oils are a new, fin and interesting challenge. We get to do a portrait for our final, so I used my friend as a guinea pig to practice. I've erased her eyes and restarted them completely right after this pic was taken.

Sketches.

Firsties!

Hi!
I decided to start a sketch blog after seeing other artist's. They're so inspirational and very enlightening for people like me who are still learning. Plus its super cool to feel connected to an artist personally by reading their blog every day or so and seeing what they've been doodling.

So so so. I decided to do the same! Lord knows I doodle and scribble on any available surface, so I'll try to keep a constant flow of images. School is my main priority right now, so expect to see works we've been doing in class.

If you got this far thanks for reading and I hope you keep watching! <3
